Littler Red Wagon - Boxing Day!

In Canada today we celebrate Boxing Day...

Despite its name, Boxing Day, which is celebrated on December 26 in Great Britain, has nothing to do with pugilistic competition. Nor is it a day for people to return unwanted Christmas presents. While the exact origins of the holiday are obscure, it is likely that Boxing Day began in Englandduring the Middle Ages.
Some historians say the holiday developed because servants were required to work on Christmas Day, but took the following day off. As servants prepared to leave to visit their families, their employers would present them with gift boxes.
So I am asking everyone to put a box on your project... or a square! Just a nice easy challenge for this day of unwinding or crazy shopping as some like to do.
Anywho, here is my card!

Little Red Wagon - Tag it!

Beautiful Christmas tags... I made these for a swap that a group of friend and I do every year!  Our wonderful host Martha (I mean Rosanne) always throws such an amazing event.

Anyway here is my tag, I hope everyone liked it! I know I love each and everyone I received.

I cut the mitten on the silhouette, embossed it, inked it, sewed on a burlap ruffle, added crocheted trim, layered on that is some jingle bells tied with rustic jute twine over a snippet of glittered wreath with some pins stuck in behind.  I created the Joy and cut it on my silhouette (so proud of myself). I added a punched snowflake and holly leaves and a little pearl!

Little Red Wagon - Pink Christmas!

Regan challenged us with a pink Christmas request and normally I would go all glittery and ruffle-y but I thought nope, modern this time!

December Advent Calendars!

We have started a few new traditions at my house since having kids!  Our december to do list, Advent calendars and this year Elf on a Shelf!  Super fun!

This year though I made new "reusable" advent calendars for the kids and I had fun making and filling them.

I did make some my for nieces and nephews so if you are tackling one of these I am a pro... let's just say power tools were involved!!

Anyways here are the ones I made for my kids... Jack and Abby!

A close up of Jackon's. I used Simple Stories and tons of embellishments

A close up of Abby's. I used Aspen Frost by Basic Grey and lots of beautiful things I have been collecting!
Like the felt flower from my good friend Patricia! ( I would link her blog but she doesn't have one, crazy huh)
